VoIP Do Not Disturb

The VoIP do not disturb feature is great for those times when you don't want phone calls to bother you.

With the do not disturb feature, you can block all calls and decide what to do with them. The options are: send them to voicemail, drop the call with a message, or drop the call without a message.

Setting Do Not Disturb Times

As with many other VoIP features, do not disturb can be setup through your VoIP web interface. After logging into your account, you simply go to the management area and set the times you would like to not be disturbed. This feature can be shut off manually or with a timer.

While blocking all calls may not be convenient for you, there are VoIP service providers that supply a way around this. With these providers you can set up a PIN number that will allow those you choose to ring through. To use this feature you simply set up a PIN number and give it to those you don't want to block. When they call your number, they enter the number and they get through.
